The K Bank Broadway Across America-Baltimore 08/09 Season was announced today at the Hippodrome Theatre in the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. This marks the fifth year of the re-opening of the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. The seven series shows are:

Legally Blonde follows sorority star Elle Woods, an underestimated blonde who doesn't take “no” for an answer. Chazz Palminteri in A BRONX TALE

Chazz Palminteri brings 18 characters to vivid life in this gripping tale of a rough childhood on the Bronx streets. A BRONX TALE was first mounted Off-Broadway in 1989 and helped establish Palminteri as a writer and actor with a distinct voice.
After starring in a feature film adaptation alongside Robert DeNiro, Palminteri brings his original one-man play to Baltimore with direction by four time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks. According to Palminteri, A BRONX TALE is a fictionalized story based on a true incident. When he was a young boy growing up in the Bronx , he witnessed a man shoot another man right in front of him while he was sitting on his stoop. At that time, he thought they were fighting over the parking space in front of his building. He never found out what they were fighting over. That incident was how A BRONX TALE began.
